International education organisation Pen Global is set to inaugurate its new Dhaka office Sunday, as it seeks to expand partnerships and opportunities in Bangladesh’s growing international education sector.
The inauguration ceremony will begin at 11am, with guest registration scheduled for 10:30am. Agatha Gomes, Higher Education Manager – Mobility at the British Council Bangladesh, is expected to attend the programme as the chief guest.
Representatives from IELTS centres, educational institutions, international universities, and national media outlets are also expected to join the event.
The programme will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, an office tour, opening remarks, a media briefing and networking sessions.
Designation of Bozlur Rashid – Director – Peoples Experience, will present the organisation’s activities and future plans at the event. The programme will be hosted by Munayeem Haque Chowdhury, Country Director of Uniaptix, and K M Jahidur Rahman, Country Manager of Univive.
Education professionals including Rumon Ayan, Founder of Belfast International School, and Dewan Shahnoor Alam Sourav, a lecturer at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), are also expected to attend.
Representatives from Newcastle Law Academy, The Equitas, Greylex Schola and several international university partners will join the gathering.
According to the organisers, discussions at the event will focus on international student recruitment, student support, career counselling, university partnerships, agent relationships and academic collaboration.
The new Dhaka office is expected to provide a platform for Pen Global, Univive and Uniaptix to strengthen their existing partnerships and develop new opportunities for Bangladeshi students seeking internationally recognised education.
The initiative comes as demand for overseas higher education among Bangladeshi students continues to grow, with students increasingly seeking academic, career and professional opportunities abroad.
Pen Global said the new office would help strengthen links between Bangladesh and the international education community while supporting longer-term partnerships among educational institutions, recruitment organisations and universities.
